A striking pair of Sarsaparilla Siamese Cat bookends in classic Art Deco style, beautifully finished in a green patinated tone to resemble aged bronze. Elegant and poised, each cat sits upright with elongated lines and refined detailing, capturing the sleek sophistication of the original 1930s Frankart designs. These substantial bookends are cast in heavy spelter metal from the original Frankart moulds acquired by Sarsaparilla Inc. of West New York, New Jersey, in the 1970s, and produced in the early 1980s. The rich green finish enhances their sculptural presence and complements both Art Deco and mid-century interiors. Solid, weighty and highly decorative, they are as practical as they are stylish.
