A pair of Art Deco French bronze bookends depicting seated hares, each mounted on a veined marble base. Finely modelled with smooth curves and a warm copper-bronze finish, they capture the stylised yet naturalistic quality typical of the 1920s–30s period. Both pieces are signed M. Font, a known French sculptor active in the Art Deco era, whose works often featured animals rendered with elegance and simplicity, echoing the decorative arts movement of the time.
