A superb pair of Georg Jensen sterling silver cufflinks, design number 64, created by Henry Pilstrup in 1937. Pilstrup, a master silversmith who worked for Georg Jensen from 1905 to 1957, was instrumental in shaping the house’s refined modern aesthetic, and this design stands as a classic example of his work. These cufflinks feature a clean, architectural form with a satin-finished silver bar of square section, contrasted by polished silver ends. The restrained geometry and subtle surface treatment give the design a timeless, contemporary presence that appeals equally to collectors of vintage jewellery and admirers of modernist design. They are clearly hallmarked with the Georg Jensen mark used between 1933 and 1944, featuring Georg Jensen within a dotted ellipse, along with STERLING over DENMARK. This design is no longer in production and is now becoming increasingly uncommon. The cufflinks remain in excellent condition, showing only light, honest wear consistent with age. They retain their original aged silver patina developed over nearly 90 years and have not been polished, preserving the surface prized by serious silver collectors. Dimensions approximately: each 2cm x 0.4cm (¾″ x 5⁄16″); total mass 14.3g. Georg Jensen, Denmark.
