An Art Deco Corn Yellow Bakelite Clamper Watch by Royal Dynasty

An outstanding Art Deco chunky Bakelite clamper watch in a richly desirable corn cob yellow. The domed outer surface contrasts with a flat wrist-facing side, housing a Royal Dynasty 17-jewel Swiss analog wind-up movement. The brushed gold dial features black enamel hour and minute hands, with radial black enamel compass lines marking five-minute intervals. The watch has been serviced and adjusted for timing, and while not a chronometer, it keeps good time for its period. The spring-hinged clamper mechanism is in perfect working order with intact pins, a firm clasp, and brilliant gold-tone winder. The Bakelite is in excellent condition, with no damage and only a soft aged patina to the face. These highly collectable Bakelite watches are increasingly rare and sought after, especially in such vibrant colours and functional condition.
