Really, you should build your own stand. You could crank out a much better one in an afternoon than this thing. In order to make this shippable, the manufacturers really cut down on the sturdiness and weight. Unless you’re an savant at cutting tatami, this stand will not survive more than one session. We had to weigh the legs down with 20lb bricks on each one in order to keep the whole stand from violently falling over on a cut, and there are cracks on just about every piece of it – it’s a wonder that it hasn’t completely fallen apart by itself – and that was just after one session. Two stars just because this will still hold up for a handful of cuts and there’s nothing else on the market. Again, you really should just build your own. There are plenty of tutorials on Youtube.
