A Macassar wood lacquered occasional coffee table in original condition, displaying the striking natural grain and depth of the timber beneath a polished lacquered surface. Circular in form, it stands on a slender pedestal base with black lacquer detail, combining elegance and functionality in true Deco style. The top surface presents beautifully, with reflections from surrounding objects sometimes visible in photographs. A join line in the veneer beneath the glass can be seen only from certain angles under bright light, and there are minor bubbles to the lacquer on the base and a small repair to one leg, none of which detract from the overall presence of the piece.
