The Lilly axe by VB Swordshop of Hungary is not only full of medieval Gothic character, but it is a fully functional and robustly constructed axe crafted to meet the rigors of hard-hitting sport and stage combat. The axe blade edges are about 2 mm to 3 mm in thickness and the axehead is crafted from resilient CRV4 51 spring steel which is tightly fitted to a tough hardwood haft. A wooden axe wedge driven into the axe socket expanded the wood to fully fit the socket for a secure fit and attachment.
