This Greataxe head is handcrafted from resilient and robust medium carbon alloy steel with a final tempered hardness of 48-50 HRc. Ready to be mounted onto your own wooden axe haft (not included) it comes with a pin which can be used to rivet the axehead to the haft to complete its construction and a steel axe wedge to drive into the socketed wood for a truly airtight fit. The socket measures approximately 1.5″ / 37.5 mm
