A Large Murano Fused Glass Landscape Vase on Original Stand

A large and highly expressive Murano fused glass sculptural vase mounted on a custom metal stand. This impressive work has been created using the traditional glass fusion technique, where layers of coloured glass are assembled, fused and re-fired to achieve its richly textured surface and remarkable depth of colour. The sweeping sculptural form frames a vibrant abstract landscape composition, with shimmering tones of turquoise, silver, gold and deep black forming a dramatic horizon. The foreground bursts with energetic splashes and vertical trails of colour in reds, greens and yellows, interspersed with raised blue glass inclusions that add texture and dimensionality. The irregular upper edge enhances the dynamic movement of the design, while the metal stand allows the piece to be displayed as a striking sculptural artwork. Labelled Made in Murano, Italy.
