An Art Deco pair of Bakelite Chick Napkin Rings, beautifully sculptural and full of period charm. Each chick is formed with a circular body creating the napkin aperture, standing on a simple base with a stylised tail and contrasting dark beak. One example is in a rich chocolate brown, the other in warm butterscotch, both displaying the depth and character so admired in early Bakelite. The brown chick has the tiniest loss to the tip of the beak, mentioned for accuracy, otherwise both present very well with a lovely natural patina consistent with age. Dimensions approx.: 6.5cm high; 7.5cm long; 1.5cm thick.
