Scorpion Swords & Knives – Khopesh Sword of Pharaoh with Leather Sheath

This Khopesh brings the powerful cutting and slashing form of the ancient Khopesh sword and pairs it with modern, pure steel with advanced heat treating coupled with robust construction. The blade is crafted from 1095 high carbon steel with a 57 HRc tempered hardness and is solidly constructed with grip scales of polished zebra wood which are riveted directly to the blade tang. The sword is matched with a tough sheath of leather with riveted construction and a slotted belt loop. This Khopesh by Scorpion Swords & Knives was on the hit CBS show Elementary. Episode 10 of Season 6, called “The Adventure of the Ersatz Sobekneferu”. While originally these ancient swords were used against the Egyptians, they were so impressed by them that they adopted them as their own and the Khopesh eventually became the very symbol of Egyptian authority, with two such swords even found in the tomb of the legendary Pharaoh/Mummy Tutankhamun (c 1350 BC).
