This is the new version of the Firenze Sidesword from Regenyei Armory and among their selection of Sideswords the Firenze is the most slender and lightest blade; it is quite nimble in the hand, responsive and easy to control. The blade has a rolled (back folded) tip for sparring safety and it is made from 51CrV4 Spring Steel with a tempered 49-51 HRc hardness. The blade is the “Blunt and Flexible 8.5 kg” option for “casual free sparring and everyday usage”. The hilt is made from steel with a darkened, antiqued finish and the grip is tightly bound in cord. The blade is solidly anchored into the hilt with a robust peen over the pommel.
