Surprisingly agile and lively, the Black Knight Longsword has a blade forged of C60 high carbon steel (similar to 1060 high carbon steel) which is tempered to a 48-52 HRc hardness. The blade has a diamond cross section which stiffens it for thrust and cut action. The guard and pommel are antique-finished steel and the long grip is wood with a tight wrap of leather. Finely styled wolves heads on the quillons and red enamel accents on the hilt components complete the sword to contrast vividly against the black of its grip and darkened finish. The sword is matched with a well-crafted scabbard of wood which is overlaid in stitched leather and includes knotted antiqued brass hanging buckles which can be used to attach the sword to a sword belt.
