EGKH – WW1 Gurkha Khukuri

This beautifully handcrafted Khukuri is patterned after some surviving examples of Khukuri’s wielded by the famed Gurkha troops in WW1. Forged by EGKH in Nepal, the tempered 12 inch long 5160 high carbon steel blade with its characteristically thick Khukuri spine is both tough and resilient. A full tang construction gives it impressive overall durability and it is equally suitable as an addition to a collection or a fine dagger for backyard test cutting. A full tang constuction gives it as robust a construction as possible; the tang and blade are a single solid piece of steel and the hilt is completed with grip scales of polished wood which are solidly riveted directly to the tang. The scabbard is of wood and is bound in stitched leather and fitted with a metal chape and belt look. Also included are the two utility knives; the Karda utility knife and a Chakmak sharpening tool; and these are the two traditional companion knives of the Khukuri.
