Part of their Hybrid Metal Series, Cleartone’s EQ strings are the first acoustic guitar strings to blend a variety of metals into one single set so as to highlight your instrument’s frequency response. They are named EQ because they are designed to mimic a perfect EQ setting, with each wound string utilizing a different alloy to enhance that particular strings natural frequencies. To create the Hybrid Metal Series EQ, Cleartone starts with a 99% copper-bronze for the low E string to provide you with more powerful bass response. For the A and D string, they chose phosphor bronze as it accentuates the mid range better while also maintaining a well-rounded low and high end. For the G string, they selected 80/20, because it has a brighter tone profile and and can better cut through the mix where you need it.
